Zack Belzberg
Zack Belzberg is the CEO of Dodds Garage Door Systems (“Dodds”), a business he acquired in 2017 through his investment firm, Northmont Inc. Since then, Dodds has grown from a single-location, residentially focused company into a province-wide operation with seven locations, serving over 20,000 homeowners and businesses across Ontario annually.
Before acquiring Dodds, Zack held investment roles at Alignvest Management Corporation, MDC Partners, and Credit Suisse. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University, graduating with distinction from both institutions.
Zack is also deeply committed to community and nonprofit work. He has founded several peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives, including the Joel Schwartz Memorial Hockey Tournament, Serving for Sinai Volleyball Tournament, Back to Brunch for Sinai and the Parlour Initiative for United Jewish Appeal, which have collectively raised over $2.0 million to date.
He lives in Toronto with his wife and their three children.
Brahm Klar
Brahm is the Managing Director at Round 13 Capital and works on identifying investment themes for the firm, leading investments across a variety of sectors, and assisting portfolio companies. He is passionate about building Round13 into a centennial firm and supporting our investment team.
Prior to joining Round13, Brahm worked in Private Equity at ONCAP Management Partners, the mid-market private equity fund of Onex Corporation and in Investment Banking in the Mergers & Acquisitions group at RBC Capital Markets.
Brahm holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Western Ontario and a Master of Finance degree from the Schulich School of Business.
Amin Lalani
Amin is the Founder and Managing Partner of Maple Tree Capital, an investment firm focused on Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA). He is passionate about backing ambitious entrepreneurs who choose to build their futures by acquiring and operating enduring businesses.
With a particular focus on self-funded searchers, Amin has advised and invested in dozens of CEOs as they transition into ownership, serving as a trusted board member, strategic thought partner, and mentor during their journey from first-time operator to long-term value creator.
Amin is also a Venture Partner at Round13 Capital, where he leads the firm’s ETA investment strategy. In this role, he partners with entrepreneurs and founders solving succession challenges, bringing Round13’s expertise in technology and growth to transform businesses into modern, tech-enabled leaders positioned for long-term success.
Outside of work, Amin is a proud husband and father, an avid traveller and culinary explorer, and a devoted (some might say overly optimistic) fan of Toronto’s sports teams.
Rob McLeese
Rob McLeese, a seasoned professional has leveraged his extensive experience in finance, energy, and infrastructure to make significant contributions to the automotive world and the broader community.
Rob is the Founder and Chair of the prestigious Cobble Beach Concours d'Elegance, an internationally recognized classic car event near Owen Sound, Ontario. In the first 11 years, this event has raised over $1.46 million for Sunnybrook Hospital and Brightshores Health System-Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundations.
Rob's professional background showcases significant achievements in capital markets, energy, and infrastructure. As the Founder and President of Access Capital Corp., he has facilitated over $3 billion in financing for power projects across North America and Europe. His leadership extends to roles with organizations such as Export Development Canada, Pond Technologies and Bedrock Energy Corp., where he has been instrumental in advancing sustainable energy initiatives.
Rob supports various charitable organizations, including G.R.A.C.E. and Speech and Debate Canada.
David Scrymgeour
David Scrymgeour is an Executive in Residence at Saïd Business School and a Business Fellow at the Smith School of Enterprise and Environment, Oxford University.
He is also currently appointed as an Adjunct Professor and Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Schools of Management and Engineering, University of Toronto.
For the majority of his career, David engaged as a trouble-shooter, consultant and founder of over a dozen organisations including, most recently, Green Standards Ltd; an award-winning move management company that provides circular economy solutions for corporate waste that benefit both community and environment.
He has also served on numerous boards and community organisations including Venture for Canada, The Cansbridge Foundation, Canadian Executive Services, MaRS Discovery District, The Belinda Stronach Foundation, The Oak Ridges Moraine Land Trust and the Anglican Church of Canada
Eric Silber
Eric Silber is a serial entrepreneur, business operator, technologist, and investor. He is the Co-Founder and CEO of Runway Holdings Ltd, a private holding company that acquires and scales small to medium-sized businesses with the intention of holding them forever. Prior to Runway, Eric acquired Riverdale Poultry, co-founded myBlueprint.ca / SpacesEDU, and began his career in investment banking at CIBC before leading direct private equity transactions at CPPIB. He is also a director of Bullet Trade Services, an Ontario based industrial services company.
Annette Verschuren is Chair of NRStor Inc., a leading Canadian energy storage developer. A highly regarded entrepreneur and corporate executive, she previously served as President of Home Depot Canada and Asia, overseeing one of the most successful retail expansions in Canadian history. Annette is an Officer of the Order of Canada and a member of the Canadian Business Hall of Fame. She has also been recognized as Canada's Distinguished Retailer of the Year and is a champion of clean technology, sustainability, and innovation through her leadership roles across business, academia, and the energy sector.
